“Last fall my wife and I moved into our new home in the Selinsgrove area and almost immediately began having problems with our heating system. Specifically, our furnace would shut off at all hours of the day and night. I had several HVAC contractors try to determine the root cause of why the furnace would malfunction and no one could determine the cause despite replacing many of the internal components of my Air Temp/Nordyne furnace. Finally, after waking up in the middle of the night on many occasions without heat we decided to contact Shaffer's Plumbing and Heating for an estimate on a new furnace. Cody from Shaffer's came to our house on two separate occasions to review their very reasonable estimate for a new Rheem furnace with us and answered all our questions regarding the new system and the installation process. Cody was very professional, cordial and knowledgeable and thoroughly explained everything to us.On March 10, 2026 Steve and Tristan from Shaffer's removed our old furnace and installed the new furnace in just a few hours. Steve and Tristan arrived promptly on time, worked hard, cleaned up afterwards, and answered general questions I had about future servicing of the unit and filter replacement. Tristan even went above and beyond when he was on my roof adding a gooseneck to the exhaust pipe he noticed the boot at the base of the pipe was beginning to dry rot so he applied some roof cement to ensure a water tight seal. It is so nice to no longer wake up to a cold house or to worry about when the old furnace will malfunction again.It is without hesitation that I would recommend Shaffer's Plumbing and Heating. Kudos to Cody, Steve and Tristan for all their help with our new HVAC install. They are the best!!!!!“

“Excellent customer service! We were not customers and needed an emergency delivery (our current provider put us on the regular schedule when we were out). Klose came right out to our house within a couple of hours, filled our tank with heating oil, and even primed our furnace so the house would begin heating right away. They did charge an extra fee for an emergency delivery, but it wasn't much in comparison to what they could have charged us!“
