“A couple of weeks ago, I hired GMC Precision Hardwood to refinish the white oak floors in 2 of my home’s bedrooms. My home is about 60 years old and we had most of the floors refinished over 20 years ago. However, the bedroom floors had never been refinished since they were always covered with wall to wall carpeting. I had already received several bids from other flooring contractors. As part of the job, I wanted the finish of the bedroom floors to match the hall floors. I also needed the heavy furniture moved. Some contractors were not happy about the furniture moving. The owner of GMC, Marshal provided a bid that was in the mid- range. And he had absolutely no issue with moving the furniture out of the rooms and back in again. I found out that Marshal used to work for the contractor, John Pera who refinished my floors decades ago. Anyway, Marshal and his crew, including Peter not only matched the bedroom floors to the rest of the house, they fixed a squeak that had been a nuisance for years, pointed out and fixed damaged wood at a doorway and put padding on bottom of all furniture before moving it back. I had not asked for the padding but it was a very nice touch and keeps the floors protected. (None of the other contractors offered that.) I’ve included some photos so you can see the condition of the floors before and after. If you need your hardwood floors refinished, restained, etc. I highly recommend GMC Precision Hardwood. Marshal and his crew are professional, courteous and easy to work with.“
