“We discovered a roof leak when a small area of water damage appeared on the ceiling of our second floor hallway. With all the rain lately, I wanted to have it addressed ASAP! After doing research on various websites for local roofers, I noted all of the 5 star reviews for DRS. So I called - Friday before Labor Day Weekend. The person who took my message said that someone would call me back. Given the long weekend, I assumed that might not be until after Labor Day. 10 minutes later I got a call from Jason, the owner. He said he was going to be in our area (Adams Township) within an hour or so and would stop by to see what the issue was? Sure enough, as promised, Jason arrived right on time. I took him up into our attic and showed him where water had been leaking directly below a vent pipe that exited the roof. We went back outside and after a little confusion over which vent pipe it was, Jason climbed up on the roof (12/12 pitch!) and found that the rubber boot around the vent pipe had split likely from dry rot and water was able to get in. At that point I assumed he'd tell me he'd have one of his guys come to repair it as soon as they could. I expected that would take another week, or more, until someone had time for a small job. Instead, Jason went to his truck and got a tube of sealant and climbed back up on the roof - in a drizzling rain - and fixed it himself!!! Done. Over with within 2 hours of when I first made my cold call!!! While he was up there he also sealed some nailheads that were rusting on a ridge vent. More of that needs to be done.<br><br>Our home is 10 years old. We are the second owners. DRS did not install this roof. So there was no obligation for anyone there to do what Jason did!! To say I'm impressed is a dramatic understatement!! In today's world of contractors, DRS is the rare exception of a company that cares and goes above and beyond to service their customers - even brand new ones - on the day before a long holiday weekend!! When it's time for a new roof I know who I'll be calling! They have earned my business. In the meantime, I'll be having them here to do regular maintenance to make sure this never happens again.
