Mike from Best Contracting thoroughly investigated the situation and determined I had inadequate roof ridge ventilation, nor did I have proper ventilation from the bathroom ceiling exhaust fans to the outside vents. I got 2-3 estimates but I was confident with Mike. He went into that exceedingly hot attic, got measurements inside, and on the roof. He answered my questions with clarity, and patience, was clear as to what needed to be done to correct the problems. He presented himself with confidence, professionalism, honesty, excellent people skills and customer service. He arrived to the site on time, worked conscientiously, and completed the tasks for the day in a timely fashion. His price was reasonable. “I interviewed several different deck builders before deciding on Double E Construction for a screened in rear deck with roof. My old deck had rotting wood with no roof and was not screened in. The process began with a free consultation. The kind and friendly gentleman took measurements of my deck and ended with him giving me a portfolio of different products to choose from. After the initial meeting and making the choice to move forward with them to build my project, I received a proposal which clearly outlined transparency for all costs and written verification of liability insurance and workman’s comp for its employees. From the very beginning Ephraim was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. Once the builder solidified obtaining permits, the work began. A crew of personable and professional craftsmen was sent who showed up on time every day (weather permitting). The old deck was torn down and all debris removed in a timely fashion. If there were any last-minute changes or ideas, he and his crew immediately incorporated them into the build without hassle. Within a few weeks the job was complete. I’m VERY HAPPY to say that the deck looks better than I expected, and I am VERY PLEASED with the finished product. Since it’s been built, I have received numerous compliments and people stopping by to get their contact number. “

“From the very first meeting with John, we had a great feeling about proceeding with Forest Ridge to help us design and build our home. Everyone was very helpful throughout the process, and we were not shy about asking a LOT of questions. Every one of John's crew, and those he chose to subcontract with were responsive, respectful, and professional. We were one of the first projects to come out of the initial COVID lockdown, therefore everyone was eager to work and get things done quickly. We started in June and were moved in by Thanksgiving. We were updated regularly on the progress, and always consulted before things were changed. John also did an AMAZING job keeping us to our budget, which was very important to us. We liked the way he developed his proposal to allow us the choice of where we wanted to get certain things such as lighting, flooring, etc. This made the process more fun for us, and also more affordable as we were able to shop around for the best prices for things we wanted. Forest Ridge went above and beyond in laying out what was included in the proposal, and what would be outside of that such as hardscaping, etc. Almost 3 years later, we come down our driveway and exclaim how much we LOVE our home. “I can't stress enough how great their work is! The prep work alone they spent a full day and a half making sure the base was well compacted. We had a rough storm the next day with heavy downpours and a tree came down on the prepped drive. Cox's team came out and helped clear the tree and again spent hours doing prep work. Then when they laid the asphault, it was a solid 3 inches at least all around! Now, not going to lie, we had got 4 quotes and Cox was not the cheapest but our neighbors went with one of the cheaper ones and you can absolutely tell a difference in thickness, quality and the prepwork! We are so happy with how it looks and how well we know it will hold up for years to come.“
