A friend referred me to Cary Ferrin knowing that I'm haircut phobic. I have long, straight hair with some color damage from self dyeing (I'm a working class artist on a tight budget and haircuts are a luxury for me). I always just want a simple trim but I commonly leave the salon feeling like I paid to be disrespected: unheard in my wishes, shamed for the condition of my hair and butchered with them taking way too much length off. So I avoid going for as long as I can and the problem continues. NOT SO with Cary. He is a thorough listener, he heard and honored my wishes, cleaned out damaged split ends to make it look smooth while still leaving the length. A few weeks later...read full review
