As an interior designer practicing in the Portland area for over 30 years I have worked with a number of general contractors on both residential and commercial projects. I am currently working on my first project with JDL Development on a residential renovation in Portland and I have been so impressed! The entire JDL team and their subcontractors bring professionalism, organization and collaboration to the project - every day! The entire team at JDL are true professionals, artisans, and perfectionists! They did an extensive, two-year remodel on our 1951 mid-century modern home and brought it into the 21st century. The systems were modernized: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, windows, doors, etc., and the living spaces were replaced with details that look original to the home. The design, estimates, and construction phases were always very straightforward. Anytime we encountered problems, they presented solutions and never once compromised the quality of the design intent or final outcome. JDL took on an extensive kitchen/living room remodel on our 1911 craftsman built home. We wanted to work with a designer and builder that kept the integrity of our old, historical house while updating it to a new and brighter aesthetic - JDL did not disappoint! Jeff designed and formatted our new space with a conscientious eye towards detail and fine craftsmanship.
