This is a hidden gem, a community lunch that is primarily for seniors, but is open to all.
It is located in the basement of the church... Easiest to get to through the back door. You walk in past the kitchen and check in at a desk. They have a very small parking lot and street parking.
My husband and I enjoy taking my daughter here for an affordable and healthy family outing. Often they have community events before or after the meal. The days with music are especially delightful.
It is best to call ahead and just let them know you are coming so they can prepare enough food.

Came in to meet a friend to take part in the community bento lunch and it was so delicious! The perfect portion of tasty Japanese food that had a heartwarming homemade quality. Plus dessert!
This is the best kept secret in Portland. The food was really good, tasted homemade. The price was great, $11 dollars for a soup, main course, and dessert. There's also tea, which is a really good touch. The people who work there are so kind and accommodating. It's an amazing space and important nonprofit in town.
