I’ve taken 4 classes with my young dog at Happy Go Lucky and I’m so grateful for their guidance and instruction. The instructors are TERRIFIC and the extras that Susan taught in obedience have proven to be essential to calm, daily living with my dog. Having never trained a puppy, I was unprepared for the challenges and was floundering when we arrived. Through the classes I’ve become much more confident and my dog is thriving!
Many years and many great dog training experiences here! I started with my new-to-me adult dog several years ago who was mildly leash reactive and had not been exposed to other dogs in her previous life. The Reactions and Distractions class was fantastic, but also so much FUN for the dogs and the humans! My girl learned so much and gained so much confidence! Later we took their Tricks and Games class. My twelve year old son came along and had just as much fun as my dog. Initially we were concerned because of a review we saw commenting on bias toward Pitbull breeds, but we're happy to confirm that is absolutely not true. Our puppy is a 9mos old American Bully and she was treated with absolute love and care - no prejudice whatsoever. I would trust that if the trainers are taking extra precaution it's because they recognize potentially negative behavior in a specific dog, not because of the breed alone. We are finishing our first 6-week training course this week and the experience has been nothing but positive. Jackie and Aspen are great coaches and our puppy loved them both.
