Straight Line was extremely helpful in listening to our thoughts and ideas and gave us a few great design options to consider. Once we determined which direction we were going in, the SLDR team executed the structural designs needed and dealt directly with the Portland building department. Once our demo and 12-week construction began, our general contractor/project manager was very hands on and in constant communication with us. Not only that, but SLDR listened to what our budget was, and stayed within it! Our family is extremely happy with how the remodel turned out, and we are looking forward to using our remodeled fireplace with a wood burning insert this winter. “Jenni and her team completely transformed our house from a "cold and dark" color and design scheme to bright and modern and my wife couldn't be happier. Our house was completely and newly remodeled when we purchased it in 2020, but we realized later the color schemes, lighting, cabinets, tile, countertops, etc. were dark and cold. My wife didn't even know what she wanted and Jenni's team had an exhaustive questionnaire and several discussions to come up with a proposal. Even after seeing all the materials and color schemes we couldn't visualize completely but when it was finished it was stunning. My wife now feels like this is her house as opposed to living in someone else's house. This interior design included the kitchen, dining, living, front bathroom, master bedroom and bathroom and lighting. She prescribed all new custom furniture, fabrics, carpet, area rug, lamps, overhead lights, mirrors, etc. Pretty much everything. We learned to make this work best you have to not only embrace the designer's overall look and feel but the detailed fabrics and materials and realize everything ultimately flows together to a beautiful finished product. We initially decided not to do our two guest bedrooms and office but after seeing the rest of the house we are now using Jenni's services to redesign them. It takes time and patience, especially in a supply constrained world, and in our case we had to live temporarily with the inconvenience of not having access to our kitchen, living room and master bedroom and bath but it was all worth it when we saw the finished design!“

“We worked with The Remodel Group (TRG) on the addition of a primary suite (bedroom, bathroom, closet). The project was about 400 sqft in total and expanded our home from a 2/1 to a 3/2. Our experience with TRG was great! From the initial consultations, to the renderings, to breaking ground the TRG team was clear on next steps and what they needed from us. They were transparent on pricing and talked us through options to fit our budget without pushing us. Once we broke ground it was a whirlwind of activity but it didn't feel overwhelming because TRG was great at communication. Their timelines were pretty spot on so we knew what to expect and when and if we had any questions the project manager was just a phone call away. The final addition is amazing! Everything looks and feels so good and we are so glad we did it. People don't believe that we got this done on time and on budget and with no hassles but TRG made it happen. “I've been to this place countless times and have purchased silverware, glassware, plates, and and cookware. I have ordered pans they did not have in stock (ex: a specific tapered saucepan!).

The staff have always been helpful. Some orders were quite small - manybe $20-30 or less, and they were equally helpful.

It seem like I went by a few months ago and they were unexpectedly closed with an ambiguous note on the door. I wasn't sure if they were closing or maybe having staffing problems? Either way, I hope they are still open and doing well.“
