Credit Counselling Society helped me identify my excessive debt, develop a plan for repayment, negotiated terms with my creditors on my behalf, provided free courses for budgeting and managing household expenses, and offered support from a dedicated case worker while completing a Debt Repayment Program. This allowed me to avoid a Consumer Proposal or Bankruptcy, and will allow my credit to recover more quickly than with a CP or Brankruptcy.
