“Yokai!

Had the pleasure of working with Yokai now for over a year and half, probably 2 now to be exact on where he finished my upper arm in making it a sleeve and a portion of my chest.

Why I decided to stay and go to Yokai is because after doing extensive research, it came down to the personality of the artist. Pricing was fair but also the time he took to talk to me, do a consult, see the vision and feedback was worth the money spent easily. An investment if you will.

His creativity and flexibility is top tier, his kindness and warm energy makes it easier for you to sit / lay for hours as he’s very focused on his work. He often checks on me when I’m wincing to make sure I’m okay and asks to take breaks where he would crack jokes, ask more about me or even offers me snacks / drinks. The hospitality and service he has given me is really extended to the point where it’s not just a paid session anymore but I enjoy his company.

The art style he’s really known for is asian but he’s got skills to do other work as well. We did an Irezumi with a Foo dog x Lion on my upper arm that turned out better than I expected as I always get compliment on the work and I credit it to Yokai.

I would recommend him to anyone who needs work done but also wants to be taken care of!“

The design went through a few iterations where after a free phone consultation and emails I got a design I love. Everything was very clean and safe which was a big priority for me. “I’ve been here 3 times for piercing for myself and for friends, and it’s always been an amazing experience! They take lots of care with each step, explain the process clearly, and make people feel comfortable, even if they’re a bit nervous. My latest appointment was with Jake and he was so kind and thoughtful in making sure I was 100% happy with the placement of my piercing.

“I got a black and grey tattoo by Carrie. Carrie was terrific and checked in with me multiple times to make sure that the tattoo i was getting was what i wanted as far as looks and placement. She also encouraged breaks if i needed any and mentioned to let her know when I'm in town again if a touch up is needed.The overall place is very clean and great sanitation practices are being followed from what I saw. Tattoohuas also had a great vibe and music playing as well.“
