“My father Steve Taitt passed away earlier this year. He was larger-than-life, with a laugh that filled every room he entered. He was a great dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved big and was adored in return. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things my family has ever done, but we got through it, in great part thanks to the wonderful team at Highland.
We spoke with Taylor L almost immediately following my dad’s death and his helpfulness and kindness were the main reasons we chose Highland as our funeral home. Team members Kelvin and Dave came to our home to pick up my dad and they were so considerate and understanding of how difficult it was for my family to watch them take my father away. They were as kind and respectful as anyone could have been in that moment and it made all the difference. Ryan R made sure all the arrangements were made even while he was away from work due to illness. There was a lot of calling and emailing back and forth, but Ryan never lost track of what we wanted. We’re so grateful to him for that. And Ainsley… Ainsley took care of us on the day of the actual service, even helping my daughter with her make-up after she had cried some of it off. We were so worried about the food delivery and the slide show and just making sure everything went perfectly. Thanks to Ainsley, it did. She’s a rockstar and we’ll always remember how she supported us on that day. The team that served lunch was also wonderful. Everyone was incredible. We couldn’t have asked for more.
When you lose someone you love, your world spins. There’s so much to be done and it’s hard to do it all and grieve at that the same time. Highland gave my family the support we needed to give my dad a send-off that we know he would’ve loved. We couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you, Highland. 🙏”
