“I genuinely don't know how to adequately thank Dej for what she did for me.<br><br>I found myself looking for a new bridal hairstylist only one month before my wedding after a really disappointing trial elsewhere. I was panicking, not only because I needed someone who could accommodate me and my bridal party on such short notice, but because I had a very specific and fairly ambitious vision for my own hair. I reached out to Dej knowing and loving her bridal work, but honestly thought it was a long shot and was hoping she might at least be able to point me in the direction of someone who could help.<br><br>Somehow, the stars aligned and she was able to accommodate us. And then I presented her with the real challenge. 😂<br>The style I wanted involved a fairly uncommon braiding technique, along with extensions to create extreme length and fullness. It wasn't something Dej had done before, and what I respect so much about her is that she didn't shy away from that. She challenged herself, learned, experimented, adapted and worked with me through two trials until we got it right.<br>And on my wedding day, she absolutely NAILED it.<br><br>My hair was everything I had envisioned and more. It was dramatic, romantic, intricate and completely unique, and it ended up being one of the things I received the most compliments on throughout the entire day. After everything that had happened leading up to booking with Dej, seeing the finished style honestly felt incredible.<br><br>What makes me appreciate her even more is knowing how much work went into getting there. Talent is one thing, but there is something really special about an artist who is willing to step outside of her comfort zone, acknowledge when something is new to her, learn from the process and keep working until she figures out how to bring someone's vision to life. I have an enormous amount of respect for Dej because of that! It speaks volumes to her character and who she is as a person.<br><br>I also felt so cared for on the wedding morning. The salon owner even stepped in to provide some beautiful finishing touches, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel incredibly special.<br><br>Dej took me on at a point when I was stressed, running out of time and genuinely worried that the bridal hair I had envisioned just wasn't going to happen. A month later, she gave me exactly the hair I had dreamed of.<br><br>I am endlessly grateful that I reached out to her, and so incredibly proud of what she created. If you want a stylist who is not only talented but willing to learn, problem-solve, challenge herself and truly invest in bringing your vision to life, I cannot recommend Dej enough.”
