After my concussion, I was eventually told that physio had done all he could for me and that it was time to adjust to my “new normal.” I was still dealing with intense brain fog, nausea and vomiting, pain, confusion, word-finding issues, and just generally feeling horrible all the time. I was afraid of having to live like that, so I sought a second opinion — and that’s when I found Dr. Jordan.

From the very first appointment, Dr. Jordan said he thought he could help me — and that alone was huge. He didn’t make promises or guarantees, which was actually comforting, because anyone with a concussion knows how unpredictable recovery can be. He’s always honest and upfront. Looking back now, I’m honestly shocked at how far I’ve come — I am so far beyond where I ever thought I could be.

My care has been long-term and ongoing, focused on both pain management and functional neurological rebuilding. Treatment has included a mix of therapies, including hands-on chiropractic care and acupuncture, which have been incredibly helpful for pain, nervous system regulation, nausea, and overall symptom management. What really sets this clinic apart, though, is how deeply they understand concussion and complex neurological injuries.

I’ve been given so many exercises, tools, education, and guidance for home recovery — not just one-size-fits-all instructions, but options that change depending on my energy levels, pain levels, and symptoms. Some tools are designed to calm my nervous system, while others gently challenge it when I’m able. This flexibility has been essential to my progress.

I’ve seen major improvements across the board: less brain fog, less confusion, better word finding, improved function, less emotional lability, better balance — and a much better quality of life overall. Recovery hasn’t been linear, but I’ve never felt rushed, dismissed, or pressured to push beyond what my system could handle.

Dr. Jordan is also exceptional at explaining what’s happening in a clear, patient-friendly way — and he does it as many times as needed. With a brain injury, repetition matters, and I never once felt judged for needing things explained again. And again. And again. IYKYK ?

The staff deserve special mention as well. They are truly amazing. The clinic has been incredibly accommodating for fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain flares, light sensitivity, migraines, and the need for recovery time after appointments. Whether that meant a dark room, flexibility with scheduling, or simply understanding bad days, I always felt supported and safe.

Booking appointments has been easy, communication has been smooth, and the overall environment is compassionate, calm, and trauma-informed — which makes an enormous difference when you’re already overwhelmed, panicked and symptomatic.

If you’re dealing with a concussion, post-concussion symptoms, or complex neurological issues — especially if you’ve been told this is “as good as it gets” — I cannot recommend Dr. Jordan and Moore Chiropractic Clinic highly enough.
