Our sorority group attended recently. Lovely venue, food was delicious and our waitress was great.My only negative was in our private room, there was a small table set up with coffee and tea and we were told we could help ourselves….so it wasn’t served to us. After lunch, I poured myself a hall cup of decaf as regular was empty. I was charged $3.00. This left a bad taste…not sure anyone should have been charged $3.00 for a coffee or tea which I’m sure cost Idlewyld less than that for a pot and we served ourselves.MJ Bowyer
The food was full of flavour and visually well presented. The Goat Cheese Baby Beet Salad was delicious with the raspberry coulis. The pork belly lardons in the Caesar Salad were a nice twist to a very familiar appetizer. I had the Vegetarian Risotto which was outstanding! My wife had the Pumpkin Seed Crusted Salmon which was excellent! The vegetables were perfectly cooked. My wife has a dietary restriction and the chef was very willing to accommodate wherever possible. Portion sizes were generous. The wine list was very extensive with no alcohol beer as an option. Service was attentive and friendly. Wonderful atmosphere made for a great dining experience.
We had dinner at the restaurant, everything was excellent, the seating and Katherine our server was top notch. The food was incredible, I had the Ceasars salad, prime rib and Cheesecake, all 3 were perfect. The price is a deal.
