“Of course the space and the way it is decorated and flows are important in creating an environment with a great atmosphere for any business in this industry - but above all else it is the people you fill the space with that bring it all together. The space feels open and elevated while remaining warm and inviting and this is substantially in part to the smiles, the mindfulness, and the focus on the wellbeing of their clients’ hair that these salon professionals genuinely display time after time. (The clean, polished, industrial yet lived-in vibe of the building doesn’t hurt either.)
You are not walking into a rushed, over-booked chain ‘salon’ for a 7 minute appointment where you question the cleanliness of the tools or the quality of the products they use on you. You are walking into a local business with well-trained, knowledgeable professionals who have personally used (and therefore can honestly endorse) the products they use on you, take the time to know your name, and ensure you are comfortable.
The amazing woman in particular that does my hair - Renee - has always taken the time to understand both my vision and any concerns I have and I always thank her for being honest about what she believes will or will not work for me. She is always professional yet warm and seems to genuinely care about both the process and the result when it comes to my hair! She is thorough yet efficient and doesn’t waste time while somehow not making the appointment feel too rushed like getting to the next client as soon as possible is the highest priority. Going blonde can be exciting but stressful for those who understand how bleach works and what it does to the hair structure - and I have never once felt afraid to trust her with my foils.
