“Mark was so helpful in the live chat, then via text, and then with delivery!

I reached out to get confirmation on the stock of some gorgeous velvet to sew my own curtains, and he was quick to confirm the stock. No only was he fast to reply, he also went above and beyond by gifting me an extra yard so I could have the full roll AND then sent it to me via uber to ensure incredibly fast local delivery.

He bagged the roll in plastic to keep it safe in transit, and it arrived to me safe and sound (and stunning!).

I just had my Penelope 2 (wall bed/sofa version) installed in my condo. I can’t say enough how happy I am with the purchase – I live in a small apartment, so for me this was truly a game changer. While the price of the furniture might seem high at first, you have to think about what you’re truly getting out of the purchase: a high-quality queen size bed, a stylish and a comfortable sofa, a very comfortable mattress that guarantees you a good night’s sleep and – above all – lots of space in your room that went to waste before! If you had to purchase all of those pieces of furniture separately, the total cost would far exceed the price of Penelope 2.

The manufacturing and craftsmanship are top notch and the installation was done meticulously and with outmost care. Countless thanks to Chris and his team from Resource Furniture who have helped me throughout the purchasing process and who have been very accommodating with all the installation arrangements (including a follow up visit for wiring optional built-in lights, which I would strongly recommend to anyone thinking about buying a wall bed). I know there are many companies that sell similar products, but in my long research of the market I haven’t been able to come across anything that approaches the quality, the style and the service of what Resource Furniture offers.“

“I want to offer an enthusiastic review for Lux Interior Design and the designer I worked with—Carolina Valencia.

I live in an 20-year old Toronto condo that was in serious need of work but I couldn’t decide how much to take on or how to go about it. And, though I care about good design, I find it hard to come up with the right ideas on my own. I decided it was time for help from a professional designer.

Lux suited me as their hourly consultation to begin allowed me to figure out if Lux and Carolina would be a good fit. I learned quickly that I liked Carolina’s taste in design and that she took time to get a good sense of my style and particular requirements before making initial recommendations.

There was lots of back and forth as we sorted out the scope of work and made design choices. She gave an estimate of what it would cost to do some—or more— work. I ruled out some ideas as beyond my scope for now but ended up deciding to do quite a bit more than I first thought as my trust grew and I decided to take advantage of the project underway and the expert help available.

Carolina was always open to my saying let’s try something different from an idea she had presented. But mostly I liked what she came up with right away. She sometimes put out ideas I wasn’t sure about or wouldn’t have thought of but decided to go with that I now love. She kept my budget in mind and at times suggested options that would work but cost less.

She also project managed the work expertly, keeping things moving, working with building management to meet the condo’s requirements, and dealing with unexpected issues that always happen in this type of work. She got bids from contractors she had worked with before and respected. The lead contractor we went with delivered great quality at a fair price and brought a commitment to getting the job done as near to on time as possible.

For someone like me who cares about good design but needed professional help to move forward—and has a budget with definite limits, Lux was a great answer. I was struck by how engaged their whole team was in the project and its success. In that team, Carolina is a standout and I can highly recommend her and Lux.
