“Our landlord hired this company to replace our HVAC system that was working perfectly in July. After they started working, the city came by and shut them down for not having a work permit. After obtaining the permit, after the fact, they hurried through the work to finish. Over the months our electric bill increased by 174 percent and when it got cold our house would not stay warm and the system iced over completely. A technician finally came back out and informed me that the system had been installed incorrectly and we had no heat at all and the system was running constantly to try to reach the set temperature. When the company was contacted and we asked for reimbursement, I was given this reply, "I sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Our records indicate that the system was installed in July. I understand that the heat wasn’t used in July but we expect to be notified immediately when our work doesn’t meet your expectation. We can not be held responsible for something we were not notified about. Again, I apologize." Apologies don't put several hundred dollars I've wasted on my power bill for months. If this company will not immediately financially remedy this situation, I will report them to the better business bureau and take them to small claims court.”
