Over 20 years ago I first set foot in the Kang Do Won. I sat on the visitors bench watching Grand Master Lewis, Master Lewis, and Master Hotchkiss guide my nephew, niece, and many other students in learning martial arts.
I was impressed with their way of teaching. Sometimes very tough, but more often a gentle hand and kind words to bring students along.
A few months later, I bowed into class for my first time. While often difficult, I have no regrets starting this journey. I have learned more than I ever imagined. Training in the art of Kang Do has improved every aspect of my life. Physical, mental, relationships, work situations... All have grown and improved.

This is such a great school!
I went there in the 80's as a teen. It's changed my life, and helped me stand up to bullies. Now in my 50's, and STILL remember Master Lewis.
