Gretchen and Dr. Perry were very nice and helpful. They got me in and out and Dr. Perry let me explain my symptoms before making a diagnosis (for some reason it seems a lot of places don't really do that anymore) and clearly explained what was going on with my stomach and gave me a prescription to help. I recommend Westar Urgent Care just because of these 2 but it's also really easy to get in and out and not have to wait all day.
While the office staff is pleasant and professional their billing leaves much to be desired. They billed my insurance $260 for the exact same visit they charged $75 for my cash paying family members...feels like not only a scam to charge the insurance 3.5 times more but also like I am being penalized for having insurance since I am paying more out of pocket for the same visit! Will be submitting a dispute.
I recently went to Westar for what I was afraid was a serious issue. They were so professional. They took their time with me. A physicians Assistant came in and explained what was going on and what my next course of action should be. They spent so much time with me I was so impressed. I definitely recommend them.
