“I found Bartels while vacationing a few yrs back I have never left my Laya overnight anywhere and certainly not with strangers,after careful research choosing a resort I felt comfortable enough to leave my baby in their care , I came across Bartels they offered all the amenities I was looking for Laya was only in their care a few days, but I was able to give her comfort in her own suite and best part was being able to look in on her with a camera available in her suite, that was the most comforting. Laya was roughly 10yrs of age at this time, shortly after her stay I made an appointment on the clinic side to have her routine checkup and 4yrs later Dr. Mitzy has been her vet ever since,She is very kind, smart, and always explained every detail of Layas care so I would understand,she was therough with her care plan ,and always gave us both what we needed , answering all my questions and looking out for Layas best interest, she has overseen Layas care from treating Laya for dementia, overseeing her aging and never over looking an issue. I trusted her answers, and diagnosis as over the years she has been spot on, recently, Layas last visit I was told she had eye cancer,spinal cancer, declining kidneys,ETC..It was hard to accept,and alot to take in,over the past few weeks, everything Dr, Mitzy said was going to happen, HAPPENED, she started declining very rapidly,Dr,Mitzy was always there when I called and she did her very best to make sure my Laya was as comfortable as possible.Yesterday September 25th, I ended my Layas suffering, not wanting her to experience more pain than she already was,If it wasn't for Dr, Mitzy caring for Laya over the past few years I know she would not have lived this long, I am Grateful for her,and for giving me a few extra yrs of love and memories with my baby! Good doctors are hard to come by,and I was lucky to find her so late in Layas life but just when we needed her the most she came right on time!! Thank you Dr, Mitzy for all you've done for Laya and I keeping my baby with me just a little longer.!! You are our angel.!! “My dog Osa did a board and train with Paige and we had an amazing experience! She’s been home for 3 weeks and she is still going strong! I was nervous because you read a lot online about how board and trains don’t work and it costs a lot of money but honestly it was WORTH EVERY PENNY and it’s a 180 degree difference in her.

They are super communicative and keep you updated 6/7 days a week (just except the day your trainer has off - and everybody needs a day off!) and send videos and photos of the progress. After a couple days all my anxiety was gone and I knew they were taking amazing care of her.

Now I know how to help her with her anxiety, keep her in place, she heels, waits politely at doors, and more. Truly life saving on our home.

I already have her booked for 3 structured boards this year so that while I’m on vacation I know her maintenance training will be kept up with.

“After 2 unsuccessful trainers + medication, a neighbor told us about Evolution Canine. We contacted the owner Scott, explained our situation & signed up for the next available 2-week session. Upon her return to us, we received a “brand new dog”. We could tell that our pup had been treated with kindness while receiving intensive training. “I give 5 stars for Hounds Town in Brunswick and my dog Delilah gives them a lot of wagging tails! They serve up convenience on many levels. First-time customers get a tour and they evaluate your dog and then they can stay for the day FOR FREE! Plus, daycare hours go to 7pm and you can drop off anytime (except during 12-2 when the dogs are napping). No need to schedule ahead. And that's not all, they offer exit baths (brush and dry shampoo) or full-service grooming. The pricing is fair and comparable. The employees are super friendly and truly enjoy their furry customers. I was sold when I picked up Delilah and saw how happy she was and how nice she smelled. They even give you a daily report on how your dog did, even naming the other dogs they played with. Hands down/paws down - Hounds Town is where it's at!“
