The details about the project and their company standards set them apart from the other companies. The initial scope walk with Oscar the project manager reiterated what was previously discussed to ensure we were all on the same page. They communicated very well and respond promptly. Having Javier the foreman on site to answer any questions and keep me in the loop was helpful. The project was completed early and the crew was very professional and quick to make any adjustments I required. They would’ve finished even sooner had it not been for rain. “We had our roof redone in 2014 by Castle. It was done in a single day. There was no hard selling, no pressure, and their quote was very reasonable. Cut to June of 2025, over a decade later; we had a particularly rough windstorm blast through and several spots were damaged. I contacted Castle honestly not expecting much. I had even contacted another contractor as I didn't think Castle would help as it was well over 10 years since the install, but I received immediate responses to my e-mails and Castle came out and repaired the damaged spots at no charge. “Van Martin did a great job on the roof. I was amazed at the workmanship. I gave it four stars out of five because on the gutter install there was a miscommunication with the person reviewing the project and the estimator. Initially, my price only included a portion of the gutter which included a wrap. Then I decided to install a new gutter around the whole house. The guy reviewing the property said it would include the wrap and gutter. I received a change order and paid the difference. Then I get a call requesting more money because the price only included the gutter and not the wrap. Meanwhile, the job is underway and majority of the gutter system is wrapped. I told the foreman that was their mistake and I should not have to pay for that. He insisted that the mistake was on my part and never included the wrap. Then why did the installers wrap most of the gutter system? In the end I told him I wasn’t going to pay anymore money. So, I have a small portion that did not get wrapped. Overall, Van Martin did a great job. I am happy with my new roof. The only thing I am not totally satisfied with is that small portion of gutter that did not get wrapped. BTW, I was also impressed with the gutter installers. They kept me informed as they worked.“

He’s personable, understands the end goal, and always brings the right quote for the quality of work needed. I’ve never felt upsold—just well advised.

On the job site, Josh Gibson (the superintendent) has been my main point of contact, and that level of communication is rare. I never had to deal directly with contractors or subcontractors—Josh stayed on site, sent daily progress photos, and kept me informed if anything unexpected came up (which can happen once a roof is opened up). He was always available by phone, and I was included in group messages with the office, which made everything seamless.

Across all the projects, the process has been the same: John provides a competitive and accurate assessment and quote, Josh manages the job with clear communication, and Scott Peterson, the branch manager, stops by daily to make sure everything is meeting expectations. That level of oversight and customer care is hard to find.
