I'm always reluctant to leave expensive clothes with a tailor who might ruin them, so I asked around and Helen had the best reputation. I'm tall and lanky, so it's hard to find clothes that fit me. Helen has tailored several jackets and white coats for me and repaired a pair of pants I thought were irreparable. The results have been fantastic. I'm always amazed at how much better I look and feel when wearing clothes that actually fit! Now I don't take my clothes anywhere else. Highly recommend. PS. Also convenient that she's open on Saturday because I work all day during the week.

I always bring my clothes to Helen's tailor shop whenever I need work done. She is all ways very friendly to me. I've had her replace busted zippers, mend torn seams, let down hems on my slacks, let out the waists, and once I had her do a custom job on a jacket of mine. Everything is almost always done next day and once she waited a half an hour to go home because I called to say I was running a bit late. The price has all ways been the same. Ten bucks, ten bucks, ten bucks. In reply to the previous commenter, firstly I'm sure if you brought the article back she would have fixed it for free. Secondly, I wouldn't imagine it to be out of her character to say that you need lose weight. She tells me that I wear my pants too tight and too low, but whatever. She's an old lady from the old country and just says what ever is on her mind.

I dropped off 2 pairs of dress pants and a pair of jeans in a hurry one morning. I didn't have time to get measured and she came outside to meet me because I had trouble finding the place. I gave her the inseam and came back a few hours later to pick them up. She was accomodating and friendly.
