I’m not the easiest guy to work for someone else but I was looking to switch careers and I thought I had the perfect job lined up. Then the 2019 tornado demolished our neighborhood and community. And my sure thing job offer fell through the next day.
Everyone came to help, but I didn’t need money that someone else could use. Todd offered me a job I didn’t need and I’m way too old for but I can’t just sit at home and not do anything when the whole town just came to our rescue when we could all use the help more than the money.
I planned on working there for a couple weeks because I’m way too over-qualified to do flooring at my age.
It’s not easy work, if you have 40+ year old knees. But amazingly, I loved working for Todd because things have always come too easy for me and I know Todd’s work ethic. And I respect it.
And it’s way too hard to turn your back on someone that has always been there for my family. Actually, his whole family has been there for us whether we needed it or not.
Todd doesn’t need any help. He would do it all himself if he had too. But even he can’t do flooring forever.
But if you know someone with younger knees that wants a honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work and wouldn’t mind learning what hard work can get you.
