They have been in business for decades and enjoy a 5 star rating.

It's run by husband and wife, and they offer excellent service with a personal touch.

They carry designer frames, and high quality lens, not secondary options to keep the prices low.

I took my elderly mother here for glasses, and they beat everyone else on price by a lot. A popular place in Howland quoted 1000.00 for just her lens because of her complicated prescription WITH insurance. That didn't include the frame.

The price at Ben Franklin Eyewear WITHOUT insurance, with tax, $456.00! Less than half, with all the same options.

They no longer take insurance, instead they give a discount that is better than any insurance. They are making a living, not a killing!

“Dr Richter is very thorough and takes the time to explain everything to you in a way that you can understand. He even took the time to explain everything to my daughter, made sure she was comfortable and that she understood everything that was taking place during the exam.“

“Dr helwig has always been professional, gives a thorough exam - my husband’s eye doctor is supposed to be amazing and is not as thorough as dr. Helwig- and has helped me with really strange eye symptoms. Most of the staff comes off impersonal , a bit cool. I never waited more than 15-20 minutes. I don’t buy my glasses at their store as the prices are too high for me . I’ve been going there for about 10 years, and , at this time, will continue.“
