“Great experience from the time you walk in until finished. Staff is incredibly organized professional and very friendly. The patient experience is taken very seriously and no matter if simple cleaning or extensive work I had in past and scheduled for implant surgery after the new year I couldn’t say enough about the Dentists willingness to spend as much time needed explaining what needs to be done. We always dread cost but they outline in a very basic manner to make it as “painless” as possible. Amy who is as knowledgeable as anyone in the business and my buddy Lisa who runs things across the suite of offices is fantastic !!“

“When I first stepped in, I felt very nervous but Nurse Silvia made me feel real comfortable with the chair and asked if I wanted to watch anything on the TV. Dr. Tariq also made me real comfortable and explained all of the tools and what she was going to do during my visit.“

“Great practice. The Dr and staff were amazingly warm and welcoming. Everyone went through great care to make sure I understood each step and why each treatment was being done.
I chose not to wear the headphones to watch the tv in the ceiling above each chair(?I know right) and “chat with the tech” while she was cleaning my 6 in1 upper and lowers.
Very thorough cleaning and in depth explanation of superfloss use ( and existence) and a water pick adapter for better cleaning . Fantastic experience, definitely recommend ?“

“My treatment by Dr. Rao was so very kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable and he has a pleasant sense of humor and easy on the eyes! Although my Sleep Apnea dental appliance took a long time with scheduling and calls to insurance companies I can say this dental appliance is sleek and comfortable. I have had other dental sleep appliances for the last 12 years (they last about 5 years ) and as time passes companies create better and more comfortable appliances. Dr Rao used top of the line AI EQUIPTMENT and computerized photography to create this mouth piece. This is the FIRST TIME it needed ZERO adjustments upon trying it on. WOW! I was very impressed. I can also say, if you are still using the Sleep Apnea Machine, I urge you to TRY the oral appliance, you will LOVE IT! It is like wearing a retainer! No tubes to clean, no attachments and easy to travel with. You also do not need to keep checking in with your pulmonologist for readings. For those who are snoring and gasping for air and haven't done your sleep study, I highly recommend you do so asap and let them know you would like to see Dr Rao at Oakwood Dental of Tottenville for a necessary sleep apnea dental appliance! It is also good for your heart and I am not waking up in the middle of the night for bathroom visits, I am sleeping better and I even lost weight because I was not craving during the day!
