The maternity department at Highland is exceptional. The nurses are so kind and attentive. They answered all of my questions and did their best to attend to our needs given such a stressful time. The doctors are also available to answer questions and explain whatever process is next. It is important to understand that as patients in a busy hospital we should not be entitled to receive care at the snap of our fingers. We must be flexible an understanding with the busy staff who is trying their best to serve all.
Certainly not the perfect place but doctors and staff were very professional, had great bedside manner, addressed all my concerns and left me feeling in great hands. I was only there a few hours but I trusted my life with them
My experience of this hospital I have to say is better than strong but still part of the University of Rochester to plural hospital system. I've been in this hospital a couple times both for long stay. I have a chronic disease multiple sclerosis - this is a neurodegenerative. I am waiting right now 0 because the nurses else I've had I'm supposed to take pain medicine every 4 hours but sometimes it seems like every 6:00 or later. I can hear them outside my door having a coffee clutch but no one will answer. I even called the desk just to see if anyone was out there and someone I even pointed out that because I refused physical therapy that I have effects of osteoarthritis...read full review
