Dr. Francis Hon, DMA | Classical Jazz Piano Lesson

We have the absolute luck and privilege to have Dr. Francis Hon DMA as our teenager’s piano instructor. Francis is patient, thorough, consistent, engaging and passionate about music and teaching piano. Learning an instrument is such a commitment, thus having a teacher like Francis is vital to maintaining motivation, focus and witnessing continued progress. We look forward to many more lessons and highly recommended his expertise!

Francis has been amazing for my 9yo son's growth in musicality. We initially contacted him simply because we live nearby and because another music school (which will remain unnamed) disappointed us. But we quickly learned how much care he puts into his personalized lessons. He's also very communicative and punctual when it comes to scheduling, always a wonderful soft skill to have alongside the actual talent and patience required to help his students. We're so lucky to have met Francis!

Six months ago on Christmas Day I submitted an inquiry for piano lessons with Dr. Francis Hon. I researched piano teachers in my area, I listened to his music, Instagram and surprisingly a few minutes later I had a response that began my son's exploration of the piano. I wasn't sure if my teenage son wanted one lesson or recurring lessons but now several months later he continues to enjoy learning to play with Dr. Hon. Dr. Hon's piano practice runs like a well oiled machine, we communicate mostly by text to 1.communicate the timing of the next lesson/assignment and 2. we get a reminder/confirmation as we get closer to the day of the lesson.
