Was looking to change from a Vermont Castings Winter Warm 1280, woodburning fireplace insert, to a pellet stove.
Did a fair amount of research into pellet stoves and discovered that one brand, Harman, had a stove constructed with cast iron, most of the others I saw were mainly steel.
Harman seems to protect its dealers, so I had only a few options for purchase and install in my area, Putnam County.
I contacted three, got quotes from them, AP sent two guys out to measure my fireplace, which is elevated from the floor and has a shelf in front of it.
After checking dimensions on the Harman fireplace inserts I realized that the P52i would hang out off the shelf quite a bit, but the P42i would extend about 1.5 inches, and that was just the bottom trim of the door; so, I went with that.
One thing that impressed me, was when I asked about the need for the Outside Air Kit, OAK, one place told me it was not necessary, AP told me that there are two fans, a combustion intake and a convection intake, and the design of the P42i has them fighting for air, if there is no Outside Air Kit, which causes a cavitation hum from the fans; so, while many places don't encourage the OAK, they insist upon it.
My installation was on Star Wars Day, the crew was on time, got my Vermont Castings, that we had been using for 30 years, out of the fireplace, measured all the dimensions for the surround.
Paul, the team leader, told me he likes to get it all done before bringing the stove in, so that everything goes like clockwork - and it did.
Paul put a load of pellets in the stove, and we waited for it to start, he walked me through all the control screens and explained the icons, as well as mentioning a few good pellets to consider.
He also showed me what needed to be cleaned most frequently, the area below the burn bowl where the igniter was housed, as well as the ash pan and another spot.
The guys in the office had already recommended a good vacuum to buy.
And I asked Paul about whether or not I needed a backup power supply/surge suppressor, which he said I should get.
Looking forward to not making 13-15 trips, up and down the stairs to carry enough cord wood to get us through a two day period.

I’ve been going to this dojo for a little over 6 months now. It started out as taking one self defense class for fun and curiosity’s sake, and has now turned into what I hope will be a life-long discipline.
I am a student of Ms. Borland’s class but have also attended many of Mr. Borland’s classes as well, and they both have a style of teaching that allows you to weave the applications of Karate into almost every aspect of your life. Yes, you do learn moves that you can use to defend yourself and how to strike if absolutely necessary—but you also learn about the art form, the history, the culture from which this style of karate stems from. You learn to develop your accountability and self-discipline, in an environment that promotes universal respect, diversity and learning from your mistakes. The only thing anyone here cares about, from what I’ve seen, is that you have an interest in Karate. I say I’m a student of the Borlands, but everyone has been a teacher in this dojo. From the lowest to the highest rank. I haven’t been to the other dojos but have met some from New Paltz and East Fishkill and Brooklyn, all who emanate the same energy.
It’s not just about getting a black belt, but understanding what it takes to get to that point, and incorporating those lessons not just in martial arts, but in your life as well.
The work they did for us was outstanding—truly professional results. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

Both my sister and I came here just yesterday for our appointments with Maureen, & I can honestly say it was the best haircut I’ve gotten in the longest time. I’d also like to add that my sister is usually one who is very tricky to please in the salon chair, yet after the beautiful cut and color by Maureen, I think she’s found her go to place with a stylist she can finally sincerely trust. Karen is absolutely amazing!
I brought my cat in for a lion cut due to all the mats he had and she did such an incredible job. My cat can be a little spicy, especially with grooming, but Karen handled him with so much patience, care, and gentleness. He came home looking adorable. The cutest lion cut I’ve ever seen, and he was completely relaxed afterward and even more affectionate than ever. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and takes pride in her work.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a groomer who truly goes above and beyond!

We wanted a medium sized project done inside our home involving removing a wall, some wiring, sheetrocking, and some involved trim work around stonewalls. Bruan was excellent at communicating options, suggestions, throughout the project execution and it gave us a better overall result. Workmanship, communication, value, reliability - all excellent. Went there as a student from 2009-2020! I enjoyed every experience. Took ballet classes to tap/ Irish tap then hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, & contemporary. Fun to learn about different styles & find my creativity, confidence & much more! Thank you! Glad my sister & cousin is there doing dancing too.

Total Rock Stars - Full Stop!
After pulling into my driveway and encountering a 75-ish foot tree that had fallen and completely blocked my driveway (taking down a second tree in its path), Matt very quickly dispatched a crew on July 4th. The team had everything cut, chipped and completely removed in perhaps two hours. Capable, efficient and on a holiday - rock on Matt!

Excellent service - a highly skilled and efficient team was able to thoughtfully trim and, where appropriate, completely remove a number of trees, including a towering white pine. Stump removal with a very high degree of precision - there is virtually no sign of a giant tree having ever been there. The entire team was professional, courteous and capable - I would strongly recommend using them.
I went here for the first time today! I was greeted by mo who cut my hair . The man has a lot of experience with cutting hair. He’s my new barber for sure.! I highly recommend this fellow!

I personally have high anxiety and the entire staff put me right at ease they are professional will talk you through any procedure you are having done from a cleaning to a full on root canal you couldn't find a better dentist I recommend them to everyone from your average person to without anxiety to people like me with very high anxiety you will not regret taking a chance great people
The entire Valley Vet team is kind and loving and our pets do very well there, despite an anxiety issue with our lab. (Which has improved over time). Their location is convenient, easy accessibility (for pets and humans); and clean. Our boys are greeted and affectionately called by name upon arrival and receive verbal communication through out the visits. Valley Vet doctors are knowledgeable and communicative with clients, explaining at each visit any changes and are open to questions. Reception and assistants are all pleasant and animal lovers too! We appreciate all they do for our boys and that they demonstrate how much they care by going the extra steps to ensure quality care.
