About Equinox Tribeca
Equinox Tribeca is a fitness club that prioritizes well-being and member experience. The location is small but clean, featuring a good amount of equipment, including updated cardio machines. Natural light adds to the bright atmosphere, though it can get crowded during peak times. While many members praise personal trainer Matt, some express disappointment over limited weekend hours and missing amenities, like a coat check, which they expect in a high-priced area. Locker rooms could use more garbage bins, as only a few are available. Overall, Equinox Tribeca offers a solid fitness experience but has room for improvement compared to other locations.
They have some great instructors but that's about it. Short on staff, they skip cleaning at times, fail to check sign-ups, which results in overcrowded classes that are a hazard, and don't have enough staff to properly clean the mats and floors in-between sessions, resulting in lack of equipment and cleanliness. Towels run out frequently. This place used to be amazing but somehow it's been degrading in service over the years. Hopefully it turns around some day.
Smallish older club. Nice and bright natural light. Can get a bit crowded during peak. Has updated cardio since last visit (Life treadmills with apple/samsung watch interface, Precor ellipticals)
Decent branch; clearly older than many others. Rating would be higher if the gym was open past 6pm on weekends. Pretty much every other location is open till at least 7pm or 8pm on Sat/Sun (except Wall St, but this location isn't in central Fidi which is a weekend ghost town; it's in a large Tribeca apartment building). No reason except penny pinching to close this early, and Equinox should not be a brand to penny pinch their customers.
