The male associates on the second floor were nice, greeted and asked if i needed help. The females on the ground floor couldn't be bothered to acknowledge my existence, and the store was not busy at all. I used to work in midtown and the Alo store on fifth avenue was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. Seriously Soho store, you're selling leggings...the snobbish attitude is just bad customer experience.
I practice yoga and I like Alo clothes, but I won't come back to this location. My wife and I both wear size M and we stopped into this location to browse. All the women's stock was sizes S, XS, XXS. Meanwhile, the men's stock was XL, XXL, XXXL. Out of dozens of items we looked at, there were maybe 1 or 2 that were available in M. Staff was not particularly helpful about this either. Indifference to major inventory management problems? I don't know but either way it's not a great experience.
The experience? Does the experience matter? Ok it’s a nice place, clean but a lot of dust I attempted to buy a hat and as I pulled the hat literally dust in my face. I suffer from allergies so the hat was left right there. I noticed dust several other spots but for the most part the rest of the store was clean & pleasant. I will say this the clothes are mostly ***polyester*** they’re polyester blends so for the price that they charge $138-$118 for each pant is a bit absurd. They want to come off as “High End” but material is very low end. I do think the clothing is very comfortable but price has to match the quality for me. I can’t see spending $400-$500 today...read full review
