“I met the J&R team through a friend’s referral who told me that they liked their products and their services. To me this was still a blind venture, but I was determined to give them a try.

What I didn’t know at that moment was that I was engaging the entire J&R family, and I received what felt like ”royal treatment” from a company I had just met. I was totally blown away!

Now working with all three brothers who artistically orchestrate and manage what I saw as the magic of J&R, Mario’s direction unfolded into 6 of his able-bodied younger family members ripping out multiple old, overgrown, and in some cases, dead shrubs along with two Crepe Myrtles. They then followed his “measured” direction to carefully lay out and plant a wide variety of replacements. Each variety was placed according to measured and ground-painted perfection. Each spot was pre-drilled to specific depths to guarantee height and spacing alignment.

What became perfectly clear was that Mario was treating our flower beds like his own personal canvas and he was the master artist. Throughout the process I couldn’t help but laugh to myself as I watched this well-greased machine in action. What Mario didn’t realize was that while he was measuring and ground-painting every placement with the same level of meticulous attention and detail that I personally exercise in the way I do my own work. Truly a perfect match! His team moved about like the inner workings of a fine Swiss watch.

Above and beyond all the plantings, the team repaired and restored our dry stack stone retaining wall that was bulging out in front of our lawn, occasionally dropping out a stone and losing rain and sprinkler pushed soil through the spaces in the wall, creating an unsightly situation at the curb. They actually reshaped it, making it look like new. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
