Tired of dealing with hyper masculinity and unpredictability? Well, look no further. I'm a professional singer, so I don't do early mornings, so they were so understanding and accommodating in starting later at 9am when most other contractors would turn their backs. I also use my home as my place of business and have voice students, so Franklin smartly suggested sending a GANT chart with the day to day plan so I had advance notice when it would be noisy and when to reschedule my voice students. They also do immaculate work and are super communicative updating on progress daily. Also, as a female, I did not feel one ounce of attitude or condescension. I know that's something many females get from male contractors these days. They were always so respectful, professional and communicative and I felt as though I could ask as many questions as I wanted without receiving an attitude or feeling like I was annoying. Lastly, it's a family business and Franklin works with his father, Miguel, so he can pass down generational knowledge and wisdom on the job. They are truly what every contracting company should be!“

“I recently did a gut renovation of my apartment which I purchased in 2005. Admittedly, given I had heard so many nightmare stories from friends and colleagues who did renovations, I certainly was anxious and skeptical about proceeding. When deciding which contractor to use I did some research including talking to the resident manager of my building. Dutchman repeatedly came up as being highly recommended. And given they did a number of apartment renovations in the building it was easy to see their work firsthand and talk to other tenants about their experience. I went with Dutchman and in the end, I am glad I did. They were true professionals, kept the premises clean, and their sub contractors for the most part did exceptional work and were attentive to even the most minor details. I would highlight Wilson Saeteros (project manager) as the MVP as he was absolutely terrific to work with - always a positive ‘can do’ attitude, responsive, effective, patient and trustworthy. There were road bumps along the way - to be expected - and when we hit a particularly significant road bump towards the end, the owner, Thomas Vandeveerdonk, personally stepped in, put a game plan in place and provided reassurance that the job would be completed to our satisfaction. It was evident in my interactions with Tom, client satisfaction is his #1 priority. I would absolutely recommend Dutchman to anyone considering a renovation.“

“We hired Eric and Comstock to help build a new covered patio with a full kitchen and bathroom. The project required many decisions and Eric worked great with us in providing guidance on how to best utilize our space. He was responsive and thoughtful about ways to minimize costs throughout the project. Eric also has a lot of experience working with our town and managing the permit process. We love the finished product and everything turned out great. Would recommend Eric for your next project that requires creativity, customization and new build -- basically more than your run of the mill project, although I'm sure he would be happy to assist with those too!“

“Kvan Epoxy did an incredible job refinishing my floors on two garages. After getting three separate estimates Kvan had the best rate and the most experience. Jose and Alberto, as well as the other guys were extremely friendly and helpful. They arrived when they said they would and completed the work quickly. The floors look BEAUTIFUL. The old floors were in bad shape with cracks and chipping and loose concrete, they now look brand new and smooth. They even filled various small cracks and repaired some holes that we had not discussed - going above and beyond the scope of work. “I had to remove my 500 gallon underground oil tank and replace it with two 275 gallon oil tanks above ground. My heating oil Co. recommended a few Cos., one of which was Dutchess. I interviewed all & hired Dutchess. It was a big job but they handled it so professionally and clearly knew their business. Not an easy job but they are pros and hard working. Left my home cleaner than it was before they started too!! I'd like to give them many more stars:))“
