“I had a persistent drip from my bathtub faucet that another plumber attempted to repair twice but actually made worse, so I decided to get a second opinion.

I called Jill at Dolphin Plumbing who returned my call and was wonderful to speak with. She listened carefully, repeated the details back to make sure she understood the issue correctly, and scheduled John to come out.

John quickly diagnosed the issue. He needed to get the correct replacement part, so he returned for a second visit. Because I was supposed to go out of town, John and Jill were also very accommodating about my schedule and he was able to return before I left. He replaced the part and waited to ensure it was fixed, which it was!

John took the time to explain what he was doing and treated me with respect. I never felt like he was trying to take advantage of me. In fact, after fixing the problem he told me he wasn’t going to charge me because he felt I shouldn’t have had to go through what I experienced with the previous repair.

“We have used D. Rohde a few times, and have always had a good experience. I have always been able to get on the schedule for the next day, and the technicians have always been very prompt, professional, and have done terrific work. Our most recent technician, Jordan, came yesterday to assess our leaking hot water heater, which needed to be replaced. He was very thorough and showed and explained everything to us. He came back today to install the water heater, and unfortunately upon pulling out the old water heater we discovered the problem was more than expected due to water damage. Jordan put me in contact with a water damage restoration service to help resolve this situation, and was still able to install the water heater so we at least could have hot water. Jordan went above and beyond to make sure everything was working correctly, tested the water pressure in the bathrooms and made sure there were no leaks. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we appreciate all the time and work he put into this job.“

“Amazing work and so KNOWLEDGEABLE! Zach, the owner is a highly skilled plumber! We had a major leak under our kitchen sink that was an ongoing problem.
Two other plumbers said there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation. Zach took a look and immediately said he could fix the problem! Before calling him, another contractors came to our house and said the only way to fix our plumbing issue was to demolish both bathrooms, which would’ve been a huge and unnecessary job. Thankfully, Will came in, found the true problem right away, and fixed it efficiently without any demolition.

We also learned that the previous contractor had used SharkBite fittings on our copper pipes, which Will explained could lead to future leaks or failures. He took the time to explain everything clearly, replaced the parts properly by soldering the pipes, and made sure our plumbing was safe and done right.

“In 2021 my older oil burner, water heater and central air unit were replaced with a heat pump, new air handler and electric hot water heater. I was skeptical about switching to a heat pump but the past three years, I'm glad I did. It's much cleaner and with variable speed the house stays at a more consistent temperature both winter and summer and electric bill is not crazy expensive.
