They will rip you off. I don't post but I guess I feel compelled to after this incident. I called this place out of an emergency, because my boiler was not working properly. Every time I turned on my heat the radiator would start spewing water and I couldn't figure it out. Seeing it was 30 degrees, and I had my kid with me I gave this place a shot. They told me it will be $150 "service" fee, and when I asked if there are hourly rates the receptionist said it "no, it depends on what the cost of what they fix, but $250 is the minimum". So the plumber shows up, and he was a very nice man, saw the issue which is simply that I did not turn on the correct valves and this increased the water level needed resulting in the radiator leak. He flushed out the water into the bucket and pour it out, did this a few more times. Then markets himself to me, and showed me pictures of his previous works. We get the boiler on and the radiators work fine, which is good. Then when we are about to leave he gives me his personal business card, and attempts to charge me $650 for pouring water into my sink! After arguing back and forth and calling the company (they started ignoring my calls after a while), the contractor shows me the text the company sent him saying "he should have told me the rate prior to doing the work, also that they told me about the $150 service fee but did not mention this $250 hourly rate the contractor himself imposed" The contractor said this is his fault, my rate is $250 per hour so just pay me $400 and we can call it even. Had I known he was $250 I would have kicked him out after 1 hour. But it also turns out the company is just hiring outside contractors and taking a piece of the pie. And they also did not have a receipt, but did not take credit card. I was told that they would email me a invoice right away which I am still waiting for...So I wrote a check and the lesson is to service your boiler every year so you won't have to get ripped off. But do not go to this company for emergencies, it was a terrible experience.
