Tom's shop is WAY more than a place for tourists to purchase souvenirs to take home, it's a genuine treasure trove of Catskills history, a trip back in time. As much a museum as it is a gift shop. Be sure you take some time to talk with Tom & pose any questions you might have. His love for and knowledge of the region is vast and his stories are epic.
Great spot!! Our dog has stayed there for boarding and today got groomed there. The groomer did a great job and took her time to demat him without shaving him which we truly appreciate! Reasonable prices as well, highly recommend!
Been coming here for cut and color since I moved to NY and I absolutely love it here. I couldn’t imagine going to any other hair salon! They do such a great job every time and it’s well worth the price compared to other salons in the area.
Best lashes ever! I’ve been getting my lashes done for years and have never left feeling as beautiful and satisfied as I do when I leave LaJune beauty. She really knows how to determine what style color and length of lash is best for your specific eyes. Laylah’s work is unmatched. She is so knowledgeable and personable that you’ll feel nothing but comfortable after setting foot in her studio. I’ll never trust anyone with my lashes or brows again. 10/10!

Julie Wade gives a beautiful Reiki session. She is gentle and intuitive, and creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Her work released so much tension in my neck and shoulders. Afterwards, I could turn my head easily and actually hear better. I'd highly recommend Julie for a total body relaxation session that actually lasts!
Always have a pleasant experience over 20 plus year's but yesterday on 12 9 2024 we were greeted by a medical assistant that did not say a word except room 2 after this she came in and didn't say anything to us she took temp, oxygen level and blood pressure and instead of asking me to step onto the scale she just asked me my weight I'm sorry but I think you need to explain to her she needs to show a little compassion after all these years I have never had to write a review like this I'm sorry to the rest of the employees that I had to do this.
I was in the Catskills for 6 weeks and walked into Body Be Well Pilates. What a find. Chelsea and Shannon were great teachers. My 30 yr old daughter-in-law and 74 yr old me got perfectly calibrated workouts twice a week. Always challenged but better for it! Never thought you get so much out of a reformer. The experience really enhanced our time. The Catskills are lucky to have such a great resource!
Juan was great! I bought a used car in "as is" condition and it was really rough. But after Juan did his magic on it, the car looked great, smelled great, and made me feel a lot better about the purchase I had made. It was a tough job (among other things, I am embarrassed to admit he found a dead mouse under the spare tire -- he was a trooper and gutted through it.) I was very happy with his work (and believe me, it was not an easy job). Highly recommend!
Luay is amazing! I’ve been working hard lately and decided to treat myself to a good massage. Luay was great at listening to my needs and focused on my shoulders/ neck while still giving a full body deep tissue massage. I highly recommend!

Removed old, not in use oil tank (had to cut it out), installed new sewer line, removed water heater and installed new on demand (and cleaned furnace) 2 men, all within.6 hours! Quick, clean, professional and reasonable. Highly recommend!

As a longtime customer of the classic barbershop, I was a little hesitant to make an appointment at Monte's. Yes, the price is higher than my normal cut, but I wanted to show support for a new local business. OK, now my opinion. Antonio was a great conversationalist, a great barber, and I WILL be back. I kept thinking it was time to get out of the chair, but every time I started to rise, there was more neat trimming to be done. On a real positive note, my wife of 50 years was overly impressed. She is a lover of long hair, and gets slightly upset every time I trim, but her comment this time: "Hey, that looks good on you". Antonio, I think this haircut will give me another 50 good years of marriage.

Last week a powerful storm moved through the area causing a tree to come down that took out our power. Central Hudson came the next day and got us back online.A couple of days later however, we woke up to a large limb from another tree hanging over our storage shed looking ready to come loose at any moment and destroy a new $5,000 out building along with a tractor, mowers, garden tools etc. To say we were worried was an understatement!This is on a Sunday morning of a holiday weekend and we thought there would be no one we could get a hold of. Incredibly, a landscaper we know, Josh Taylor of Taylor's Landscaping returned our call right away and came over to see what had happened. He let us know we needed a professional tree service with all the right tools and equipment. We thought that was going to be almost impossible to arrange on such short notice but Josh called John at Northern Tree Service and two hours later he was out to examine the situation. He put our minds somewhat at ease by showing how the broken limb was being supported by several lower limbs. He let us know he would finish up a current job the next morning, then get right to us.That afternoon John, Ashley and the crew, along with four trucks loaded with everything needed to get the tree safely down and spare our shed any damage were at the job.Two hours of non stop hard work by all and the job was done, and completely cleaned up. Incredibly hard working and professional, we can't thank them all enough.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Chrissy has been my personal hair stylist for over 20+ years and she is absolutely amazing. She knows her products and is always up to date with the latest styles and fashion. With my own personal hair "issues " shall we say, Chrissy always knows exactly how to make the look I am striving for work. She is a great hard working person and owner of one of the best salons IMO who knows her customers and I highly recommend her.
Frank Whatley is great craftsman with an attention to detail. I'd hire him anyday.

I am basing this review on several visits! All the staff I've ever encountered were always friendly. They have top notch service and excellent eye-wear as well as a quick turnaround. The prices are quite unbelievably affordable especially in this economy. I made the mistake of going to a big chain that starts with a Lens and ends with a crafters thinking I was getting "better" eye-wear. All I got was ripped off! I'll never make that mistake again. For what I spent at LC I could have gotten 2 pair at Walmart! My LC experience was horrid (the lenses didn't last 2 weeks & no refund) and my Walmart experiences will have me getting my eye-wear from them for years to come.

I have been coming to Lux Spa Nails for a year and absolutely love this salon. Lina always does an amazing job and the rest of the staff is so nice. Have always had a great experience with them. Definitely recommend this nail salon.

Aaron groomed my elderly Pomeranian and did an amazing job! He made sure she felt comfortable and she now has a really cute puppy cut for the springtime. Would recommend any time :)
Lemon Tree Hair Salon in Catskill is an unpretentious, serve the customer’s needs hair salon including last minute hair emergencies, and YES there are actual haircut emergencies! She booked me last minute, less than 24 hours before and professionally fixed my home mistake beautifully without trying to sell me service I wasn’t there for or can’t afford. So refreshing, Lemontree-ade. I’ll be back to see her before the next time I think of my scissors.

1st time i really liked the atmosphere everyone was so friendly prices were not bad at all plus you get so much more out of it massages while your nails are drying you get to pick different packages for your feet. I picked the stones. Amazing work.
This is quite an interesting place. Im going to comment specifically on their horses. Ive been here 3 times, when on a weekend getaway somewhere in the Poconos. All my visits were for horseback riding, in the winter, and on a guided tour. All of the staff I rode with were friendly, knowledgeable, casual, and easy to chat with while on the trails. I always felt 100% safe and honestly, only wished we could have gone a bit faster! On an occasion when I arrived early, I certainly became curious about what else this business once was and Im referencing my impression that it was some sort of privately owned zoo?!?! Thats quite bizarre but its nothing I know about and am not sure about... But I will say that the property has a somewhat old, rundown feel to it, but that doesn't mean my experience wasnt great. I will in fact try to go for another ride here, when I next am in the area.
