377 S 1st St, Brooklyn“I recently lost my dog and after looking and looking for someone that i was confident would nail the portrait of Leo on my arm, I decided it had to be Nikki. I reached out and got put on the wait list which I wasnt shocked there was one. Once i got to NY she called me the night before and we discussed options and ideas. Once @ the shop and she showed me her design, it was perfect. There is no one else I would have do a tattoo as important as this one. Also, everyone there was very kind!“

JD was exceptionally creative and has helped me plan out a full tattoo sleeve, which was a huge relief as I wasn’t sure how to go about it. JD’s skill, attention to detail, and care made the experience totally worth it. The studio was spotless, with a clean and professional atmosphere. I highly recommend JD to anyone looking for top-quality work!“

There is an old school work ethic and commitment to excellence without the old school toxic shop vibes. Gia and Mike are two of the most kind, most sensitive, professional and talented people I've had rhe pleasure of meeting and spending time with. I have been getting tattooed by Gianna since she first started tattooing. I've got dozens of hours of her skill and vision on my skin. The other resident and traveling artists are top notch as well. Gianna's commitment to creation of a safe, beautiful environment for people of all walks of life to celebrate art shines through. Make your appointment today! You won't want to go anywhere else once you've been to Lil Baby's!“

48 1/2, Grattan Street, Brooklyn“Sam Ilioski is magic. You go for a tattoo but you leave knowing you’ve met someone really special who has just spent a long time and meticulous, careful energy creating a work of art on your body. No one designs tattoos like Sam’s. After getting my first ones with her several years back, I just kept coming and at this point, have just saved my right arm for Sam. They are noticed often and complimented more than any other work I have.
You know how it’s hard to ask tattoo artists to reposition your stencil because you don’t want to put them out? Sam will make you feel comfortable asking to reposition it as many times as you need, but you likely won’t need to because she’s got an eye for how tattoos move well on bodies. She is trauma informed and will make you feel taken care of from second one. Additionally, she will work with old tattoos you have to do amazing blast overs or additions. For instance, I’m having her add layers to a tattoo from another artist to incorporate it better into all my pieces from her.
While I’ve gotten tattooed, Sam and I have connected deeply on so many levels, and while I’d love to gatekeep and say we have a special bond, I know Sam just has a way with people. She’s the fairy angel tattoo artist of your dreams. Tip her well.
In terms of Allied itself, it’s clean, the artists are all friendly and interested in each other’s work, and they sometimes have two dogs there that can provide you comfort while you’re in pain. They don’t blast crazyass music like some shops do.
TLDR: Go get tattoos from Sam, she’s a master and a gem.“

692 Fulton St, Brooklyn“I like to get tattoos in the places I visit, and I was missing my official NYC stamp. On my last day in town for a work trip, I decided to find a shop. As I was walking to a café, I came across Electric Lotus Tattoo. I loved the name, the storefront, and gave them a call hoping they’d take a walk-in.
Jae picked up the phone and, even though he was booked, welcomed me to stop by and check out his work. When I arrived, I told him I wanted a tiger, and it turned out he was the “tiger guy.” Felt like divine intervention. I booked for later that day, and Jae absolutely delivered.
Not only is he insanely talented (a true wizard with the needle), but his energy was open, friendly, and made the whole experience one of the coolest tattoo sessions I’ve ever had. He knocked it out in a little over an hour, from finishing his last appointment to final photos.
I’m so glad I met Jae and now get to wear his art. If you’re in Brooklyn or anywhere in NYC, go to Electric Lotus Tattoo.“
“I absolutely love working with Peeko! I made the trip from Saint Vincent to Brooklyn for his sleeve work, and it was totally worth it — this is my second session. From our consultation, Peeko really got my vision and helped me create a design that’s totally unique.
The process has been amazing, and I’m super excited about how far we’ve come. The piece is really coming together, and I can’t wait for my final session. Peeko is such a talented and professional artist who’s a joy to work with. I can’t recommend him enough!“

“I had my helix pierced by Zoey he was very respectful, and nice. I first came to his shop for an industrial but when he saw my ears he made sure to mention that my ears weren’t shaped for an industrial and gave me other piercing options. That’s very good to know when getting anything pierced, The place is very nice to look at there’s a lot of cool drawings inside the place and there was music playing I really like the vibe. The pain was not bad at all. The price was not bad it was 70$ to get a helix on both ears. The price he was going to charge me when I asked for industrial on my right was 50$ which was pretty cheap in my opinion. I’m thankful I came here I left happy and pierced!“
