Excellent doctor, facility, and staff. Doctor saved my dog’s life. Poor girl was diagnosed with piometra. The first vet we went to diagnosed her but wouldn’t/couldn’t perform the surgery. He referred us to Dr. Appel. He said other than the emergency hospitals no one else could do it. She needed an emergency surgery the same day or…. Or she could’ve died within hours. Dr. Appel has cared for both of my dogs in emergency situations when our regular vet was unavailable. No matter how early or late I’ve called, he has always been accommodating and quick to help. He and his staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely care about providing the best treatment possible.
One time Dr Roy was able to see my rabbit beyond closing hours. Another time he gave me advice without pushing cost services or additonal unnecessary tests. My many extra questions were answered with free valuable advice. The costs were reasonable and more than acceptable to keep this place alive. There was no push for more visits if it wasn't needed so it saved us both time. Only thing is wait times can be long and they are more reliant on phone calls. No apps or web portal.
