About Albany Medical Center
Albany Medical Center is a hospital that provides emergency and extended care services. The medical center's staff, including doctors, physicians, MDs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, are commended for their love, care, and dedication to patients. From the emergency room to the gastrointestinal department, MRI department, lab, and housekeeping, the staff work together to provide quality care. Despite being overwhelmed and short-staffed, the 3rd shift staff in the ER are particularly praised for their exemplary work in getting patients taken care of. However, some areas for improvement include wait times, cleanliness, and staffing. Patients have reported long wait periods in the waiting room, and concerns about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and adherence to HIPAA laws have been raised. Additionally, the hospital's pamphlet on Patients' Bill of Rights seems to be overlooked. Despite these issues, the medical center's staff are credited with making a positive impact on patients' experiences.

People who care a lot patients. I was able to discharge from the hospital...read full review

Is the hospital where my wife had such a positive experience the same one with so many poor reviews? Without exception, all levels of employees were kind and caring. I lost track of how many people whose names we noted for special commendation. Having fractured hand and knee bones, she went by ambulance to Albany Med. The ER was very busy and the wait was long, but she was taken out for tests intermittently. The surgeons did an excellent job, and when she was recovering on the orthopedics floor, the nursing staff was superb. Given the poor reputation of the hospitals near our home, we've been advised to go to Albany. Luckily, the bicycle accident that led to...read full review
