I got three quotes from different places to replace my furnace and AC. Fleet has the approach you are looking for - they won't try to upsell you, and will tell you exactly what you need, and no more. Very fair pricing comparatively. The team that did our installation were all courteous guys who were led by a very knowledgeable technician.

Amazing people! #1 trusted HVAC shop in Reno. Techs are super knowledgeable; office staff could not be kinder and more accommodating. Techs are well paid and no commission. So if there is an issue, it's an honest one, and they'll get you back up and running.

I live in a 4000 sq foot house with 2 floors. Built in 1993. The HVAC System is the original - approx. 30yrs old. I have 2 systems - one for the ground floor and one for the upper floor. The A/C in the attic died. As the systems were so old - I decided to replace them both. I got 5 bids. Fleet was the lowest by several thousands of dollars. I was always told to be suspicious of an outlying low bid. I talked to Fleet about my concerns and they convinced me that they could do a good job at their competitive price. They have just completed the install and I could not be happier with the service, quality and VALUE! I am 80 yrs old and have done business with many contractors over the years - this is the best experience I have had with a contractor regarding a major contract.
