“So I found this gem online and I decided to give them a try, I’m so happy I did. The vibes are incredible and my toes came out so beautiful. They took their time and took good care of me and I’ll definitely be back. I was sad I couldn’t get my nails done but that was 100 percent was my fault, I didn’t book for a mani just a pedi. I appreciate them for taking me in too because I walked in at 12 and they had me come back at 2 and took me right away. Thank you guys so much ??“

“This was my first spa experience ever. 46 years old, never been to a spa before. From the first timers perspective. This was an enjoyable experience. There is unfamiliarity so I don't know if it's exponentially better, but this first time event was very enjoyable. The service requested was the couples hot stone massage. The website on an iOS was not user friendly and became frustrating to try to book the service. A phone call did the trick. Showing up we were greeted well, filled out the necessary paperwork and were led away to change for our comfort. I'm not a photojournalist nor did I feel it was appropriate to pic flick away in a place where people are trying to escape and relax. But, I got one, and the waiting area was clean, relaxing sand comfortable. Hands down the massage was great (see what I did there ), the masseuses were professional, quiet and thorough. The quiet was the best part. That's the part of this experience I enjoyed the most. Even in the middle of downtown Reno, it was quiet, had a pleasant aroma, and just felt insulated. The experience was worth it, enjoyable, and while I will try Refuge again one day and would recommend them, I can't wait to try the other spas in our area. Thank you Refuge Spa“

“Good experience. They gotta tell people when they are drinking at the place to not be on speaker phone. No one wants to hear about your baby daddy problems or how you gonna take all his money. The guest was cussing excessively and was drunk enough to lip off if you said something and next thing you know I’m in handcuffs. So the business needs to control this better. Stop talking to each other in your language and tell the messy guests to leave!“

“Vanda is the BEST salon! I've been going for just over a year now and won't go elsewhere. Everyone is incredibly kind. My natural nail under my acrylics are suuuuuuper healthy! They take the time to properly soak off nails - and DON'T rip them off by leveraging a nail tip beneath like many places in the area. I use to be afraid to get a new set because it hurt. New sets at Vanda are painless. Their polish selection is extensive - more than I've seen anywhere else! I'm a cat eye girl and if you are - you'll DIE from the options! I always go in early to pick my colors because there's so many gorgeous polishes. Khim is a true artist! He can do any design and has an impeccable eye for detail and color theory. My nails are always the cuuuutest (imo). I go here for pedis too! The chairs are cozy and they use bowl liners. The massage lasts for what feels like forever and is soo relaxing. I highly recommend Vanda to everyone!“

“When you drive up, the building looks cute, definitely stands out in this location. However there was minimal parking and and street is a dead end, a bit inconvenient if you're handicapped..The waiting area is small, it's a shared studio, so you wait in part of a salon area. This wasn't great, especially with COVID-19, but there isn't much you can do, given that amount of space. Next time I will just arrive closer to my appt time.However, Kimberly has her own room in the back, which makes for a very peaceful environment. I look at the salon as a place where I can relax, so this was perfect. She did an amazing job with the shampoo and conditioning, even gave me a nice scalp massage.When I told her what I wanted for my cut, she more that understood the assignment. “Came here for my nails the day before my wedding. Monique is amazing!!! She was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness and was so attentive to detail. Absolutely recommend blush & bone. 10/10 all around service and simply love that they focus on nontoxic products. I will be back! Thank you!!! As a sidenote - I have seen some people post about "hidden fees" for gel removal. From my experience in many different cities, that is the industry standard, and they honestly give a good price for it.“
