I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk staff named Yessenia. I was only a minute late to 15 mins grace period of my appointment, and instead of trying to accommodate me, I was immediately told I needed to reschedule almost a month out. The frustrating part is that patients are often left waiting 30–45 minutes in the exam room for the doctor, yet there was no flexibility for being one minute late.
I politely asked if another provider was available since I was already there, but I was told they were completely booked. At that point, I said I would look for another provider instead. The receptionist's attitude was rude and lacked any understanding...read full review

The PCP I was assigned to seemed sincere and caring but that's where the professional care stops.I made requests for referrals needed, he said it'll take 5 to 7 business days. It is going on a month. When I did a follow up on some tests he had me do. He went to talk to the referral staff, I was told they would call later that day. They did, however, no further action has happened. I have made several attempts to contact the referral person I talked to this date no contact and no return call has been received. My experience with UNLV Health has been extremely frustrating due to poor communication and lack of coordination.

I had to wait six weeks just to be seen, and was finally evaluated by a hand specialist on 02/25/2026 through a VA Community Care referral. At that appointment, I was told I need hand surgery and that it would be requested.

However, during that same visit, I was informed that my medical records were not available, yet the appointment still proceeded. Weeks later, I was again told that records had not been received, which prevented scheduling. This issue was never resolved or clearly communicated back to me.
