“BEST Infusion Clinic in Las Vegas. Truly a HIDDEN GEM. 5+ STARS.What a GREAT SURPRISE. I had CRITICALLY LOW IRON SATURATION (along with other related LOW anemia markers), that I saw, upon review of my lab results. I DID NOT like the MD & the Infusion Clinic at the CCC of Nevada, at Southern Hills Hospital. Usually Hematologists (Blood Disorders) are also Oncologists (Cancer). Dr. Vikas Gupta was EXTREMELY condescending & made remarks about other things he was looking at on me & also off topic on other things. He ran his own lab work (in his clinic) & "DECLARED" that I didn't have anemia. You know what he "glossed" over? MY SEVERE, ASSOCIATED SYMPTOMS. The patient will TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW. BASIC 101.The infusion clinic there looked "dreary". I walked out of his office in the middle of his "BS". He said oral iron tablets would be enough. I DISAGREED. I have a nickname for Dr. Gupta. I won't say, ha! Stick to ONCOLOGY Dr. Gupta. How you get 5 star reviews, is beyond me. Do you know who recommended an IRON INFUSION? My ED Physician! My Gastroenterologist NOR the Medical Assistant gave me a call. This is why you have to OWN your HEALTHCARE. These places are extremely busy & YOU must be your BEST ADVOCATE. Actually LOOK at your results and learn to have a basic understanding of them. YOU have to make the call to your provider.I asked my Medical Assistant for a referral to an ACTUAL Infusion Clinic. This was MEANT TO BE. All I can say is WOW = referred to Infusion Care. I was given one treatment of INJECTAFER. I read up on this Iron Infusion and saw that oral iron tablets are only absorbed LESS THAN 10% by the body. Injectafer provides 100% of the IRON directly into the bloodstream. One treatment of Injectafer is 750mg x 2 (750mg a week apart, for a total infusion of 1,500mg). I redid my labs at the same place I always get them (for consistency) & saw that this treatment "topped off" EVERYTHING. Mahalo to Medical Assistant's: Randi & Vanessa, RN Peggy & all the other BEAUTIFUL RN's, I have been fortunate to meet. I have worked extensively with them all & I love their humor. You all have made my LIFE BETTER in so many ways. You were the HIGHLIGHT of my infusions & week. EVERY TIME. For 10 MONTHS.Mahalo also to RN's: Emily, Kristina, Candace, Annie, Melissa, Liz (BiBi, APRN Leanne; a little bit of turnover), that I have briefly met (& have done my infusions), along with APRN Jessicka.Mahalo to: Dr. Denton, who utilizes a HOLISTC approach to care. She has a very warm & kind vibe to her. She is a good MD, but "blocked" me on email, after the situation? Speaks VOLUMES about the Company's "CULTURE". Shameful.Since October 10, 2022, Randi was the very FIRST, EXCELLENT, Medical Assistant that welcomed me into the Infusion CARE OHANA. I had a million questions, but she was so awesome. Knowledgeable, KIND, & GENUINE. Spoke for like a half hour! During my Injectafer infusion, Randi saw that I could also get bi-weekly, vitamin infusions (called Infuvite). Provides a nice boost to the immune system. Awesome.I've been gifted offerings from Randella, Vanessa & Peggy at my Infusion Care Ohana, During a few of my infusions, I was given: a Coca-Cola, Cup Cake, a Ricola (my go to candy ;-), 3 x Lithuanian Chocolates, & a Vegan Popsicle (locally made)!It was my Warrior Code & Character, that forced me to leave (on my own terms) in late August 2023. This was BEFORE Troy's (Clinic Manager), "effort", to make me stay as a patient. I took EXTREME OWNERSHIP of my ACTIONS & walked away. It was simply a harsh text that spilled over into the clinics main text line, BY ME.I was also upset about how the situation was handled. HORRIBLY. This clinic lacks LEADERSHIP. Infusion CARE is extremely passive aggressive. This is the poor "CULTURE", in an other wise, beautiful clinic. One CANNOT handle ANY situation over the phone or via text. Troy mentione“
