Our family experienced a severe crisis and our EAP program connected us with Brookside. When we initially scheduled, it was a huge sigh of relief that they were willing to work with our somewhat unconventional family schedule to ensure all of us could be present; however, the day of our initial appointment we were contacted 30 minutes before the scheduled time (as we were leaving to drive across town) to cancel. We rescheduled for one week out, no worries. First time client. I arrived 10 minutes early to a locked office with no one there. When calling the number a man answered saying they were running late and would be there 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. No apologies, no call in advance that the therapist would be late. Very unprofessional and not how I would want to start a therapist/patient relationship.

Honestly, you're better off finding someone who doesn't have their business line set to automatic voicemail.Update: called before noon (11:30am) to confirm appointment time (I needed to confirm the time because I take public transportation), doesn't call back until nearing 2pm to leave a voicemail saying I wasn't scheduled "as far as they know". Then another voicemail at 3pm listing the two times I had to reschedule, gave me the next days openings and one final time at 5pm. I lost interest seeing this Counceling group awhile ago. Would not recommend, especially if you need information in a timely manner.
