I work nights and got a message after I got to work from a neighbor that my front yard was flooded. A friend and a neighbor went over and shut the water off for me. I asked around work and one of the other nurses I work with had said he’d had multiple other people recommend Stewards Plumbing so I decided to call them. I’m a single mom so I was really concerned what this would mean and the next day was my day off. I called as soon as I got off work Tuesday morning and they were able to come out Thursday morning which was way faster than I’d have even imagined. I got a room for the night and Thursday I got a call from Barney and 20 minutes later he was here. He walked me through the whole process, I’m also a new home owner so I had no clue but he reassured me it was going to be okay. He was able to quickly find the issues, dig up the pipe and replace it, he showed me what happened. The price was a lot less than I was expecting since he was so efficient in finding the issue which was a relief and he gave me recommendations on how to avoid future problems. This is all what you’d hope and expect but above and beyond that he did it with my 9 year old following him around, he asked and recognized that he’s mildly autistic and has severe ADHD and was very sensitive to the situation, where most people get extremely annoyed and impatient with him he didn’t. They just talked while he worked like they were buds and by the end my son was inviting him to dinner like a friend. He stuck around to make sure the kids and I had water. I will definitely use this plumber in the future and I’ll definitely request Barney it was a pleasant experience for a bad situation.
I have used Stewards Plumbing multiple times in the past and this week was no different. Monday afternoon when I turned the swamp on, there was no air coming into the house. After crawling on the roof to figure out what was wrong, I quickly realized the blower motor had seized up. My wife, being the worrier she is, and my lack of electrical knowledge, convinced me to call in the experts. I called Stewards that same afternoon. Stewards Plumbing came out the next day. We had scheduled an arrival between 1 and 3pm. At 12, Steve (the assigned plumber/HVAC guy) called to ask if he could arrive EARLY. After his initial assessment, I was informed that the problem wasn't JUST the motor. He also showed me pictures of the parts that needed repair or replacement (bearings, spider, pumps, pads, etc.). It should be stated I have a very large swamp cooler (I special ordered it years ago). Within 30 minutes of asking Steve for a quote, I received it via email from Eric, the owner. Having been through this before with other companies, I braced myself for a 4 digit cost. Eric's quote came in at a fraction of what the largest commercial/residential plumbing/HVAC companies are charging for the same work and no where near the $1000 I was expecting. Knowing that many of the parts I needed had to be special ordered (pads, larger pullies, etc.) I took the next available appointment. The parts came in the next day and Steve was back out the morning after. A little over 2 hours later and Steve was done. He showed me everything that was rebuilt or replaced and didn't try talk down to me as other companies have done in the past. Cost, efficiency, and professionalism. Stewards Plumbing will be my plumber for as long as they are in business.
We have had to use Stewart’s plumbing several times and we are never disappointed in the service that they provide. Their crew shows up on time and immediately begins working on the issues at hand. We had a problem on a weekend and we were to host a big party. Eric himself came out because his crew was busy and spent a lot of time sneaking out all the Sh-t (literally) from our main drain. He was able to resolve our issue and he cleaned up and helped us get everything back together again for the party that evening. He has always been available to us and made sure that if we had an issue someone was there to take care of it. I would highly recommend Stewards Plumbing to everybody and anybody who asked me for a plumber in the Albuquerque area.
