My doc suggested Pilates and I really did not think it would be something I'd enjoy or stick with. After my first session I was hooked. Lourdes (the owner) was so patient and dedicated. She really wants you to get all the benefits. (I'd suggest a few private sessions first because the machines looked intimidating to me.) The studio is quiet and calm and welcoming. It's not like anything I'd ever done (I do yoga, Tai Chi, and cardio machines.) You learn HOW to move your body, and master coordination and strength.

Finding Empower Pilates and Lourdes as an instructor was an answer to my prayers! I’ve been practicing Pilates for 25 years and I’ve always been searching for a place where I can learn to use the various pieces of equipment. I had never found a place in Albuquerque with the high degree of professionalism and the variety of the equipment that this Pilates studio offers. I really admire Lourdes’ knowledge and longtime career. She is an amazing instructor that has the teaching experience and creativeness to adapt the variety of exercises to meet individual needs.
