“I came here to get a silk press and I haven’t had my hair pressed in years! I’m a black natural hair queen and I wear my curls and braid outs all the time. However, I wanted to get my hair pressed and Jana’s salon was the salon I chose to press my hair. The salon is absolutely gorgeous and I did have an appointment same day! So I didn’t have to wait. The wash and blow dry process was quick but just like any salon when you’re a customer, always speak up when you feel uncomfortable with the way someone is handling your hair. Delicacy and comfort are so important to consider when getting a service done.

This whole process took about a hour and some change and by the time I was done, I got my hair trimmed and again, I wanted to make sure that I was getting a trim and not a cut and the woman who was doing my hair was so cooperative in making my experience meet my expectations. This process was minimum heat! No hot comb or any extra heat that would heat damage my hair. She also applied heat protection throughout the process that made me so happy. The trim was the icing on the cake for my hair and I walked out feeling so renewed and refreshed. It’s been a week now and my hair is still FRESH!!! Will be coming back for future silk presses!“
