I could not say better things about our home care therapists. From day one after returning home, Rose (physical therapy) and Anne (occupational therapy) have been so patient, encouraging and helpful with my father. He enjoys their company when they come and they have advocated for him more than I could ever - making sure he was taken care of, had supplies and necessary modifications - helping get us a hospital bed so he can sleep better on our first floor, helping with steps and getting upstairs to shower - and overall just incredibly compassionate and kind. Valley Home Care deserves 10 stars! Their nurses and staff were extremely helpful for both my father and my mother before each of their passing. My mother, being more recent, was blessed to be under the care of their hospice nurses and staff. She loved their visits. When the end was near, they came with a wonderful blue pamphlet that explained what to expect when a loved one is passing. It was an invaluable guide. The nurses came to visit and help her as much as possible. The nurse happened to be present when she actually did go to heaven. I think my 95 year old mom planned that! They are very professional when explaining their services. There in it ends. They do not have enough medically experienced aides. The nurse supervisors and aides are not in sync. The aides are not wellTrained. We were also told by one of the aides that the agency pays them very little and if the patient cancels they do not receive payment.
