Long background story for why I’d highly recommend this salon:

I don’t often get salon haircuts so I was looking for a place with transparent pricing. When I reached out to book an appointment they offered times, stylists and prices so I could make an informed decision when booking my appointment!

The appointment was great, loved the ambiance however I showed pictures of myself with the cut I wanted (curly, short, layers) and the stylist got it short and some layers but did a blow out. I know this is typical salon procedure so it’s on me for not more explicitly saying I wanted my hair cut/styled curly. The next day when I’d washed and air dryed my hair and realized it’s not exactly I wanted, I called on a whim to see if they could squeeze me in to adjust the cut before I leave for vacation the next day. They made a huge effort to fit me in and the stylist really understood what I wanted fixed and delivered!!

Although the first cut wasn’t what I wanted, if you’re a blowout long straighter hair person I’m sure it is excellent and the second cut I got was superb for curly hair. So definitely ask for a stylist recommended for what you need.

Overall, INCREDIBLE customer service and super super glad I tried this place. I’ll absolutely keep coming back and recommending it to friends!!! They went above and beyond to ensure I had a haircut I loved and that is truly special!“

“Recently found this local off-chain barber shop in hoboken. The staff and the owner are very friendly, they take only cash unfortunately and I was not aware of that and the owner was willing to extend credit and let me pay later, which was very refreshing in such a transactional world and came back to leave a big tip. “Haircut is great. They have a sign that says Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 6-8am it's half price. However, they charge regular price if you are not aware and ask. I wish they were a little more transparent about pricing.“

After moving to Moonachie I still made my way down to Hoboken to see Mike for my haircuts but then the parking got bad, I finally made it back over by Mike to get a haircut last month, with my hair thinning and losing some it was still the Best haircut I have gotten in years, the little he took off it looked like I left with a full head of hair and I even met an old friend in there we went to school together, Luigi. Mike and I were reminiscing about old days in Hoboken and looking at some pictures in the book he had, it was such a pleasure talking with him.
