“I am a lifelong resident of central NJ and I always noticed Bomarr Opticians on my way to and from Menlo Park Mall. Finally in Nov 2023, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately they are not in-network for my vision insurance plan (VSP), but they did provide me with a generous 20% discount and an itemized receipt so that I could submit a claim. The store is packed with eyeglasses of all kinds, so be prepared to be there awhile unless you have something very specific in mind. I was assisted by the nicest and most patient woman ever -- I cannot thank her enough (unfortunately I never got her name!) Because I have a high prescription, I only had a few options, but I'm happy with my choice. Highly recommend Bomarr Opticians.“

“Honestly - I had been a little concerned about not going to a "real doctor's office." However, I will be returning! Easy to make an appointment to get my eyes checked. The 'tech' or assistant who did all the tests was excellent. She explained everything so I knew when there would be a flash, or where to look, etc and exactly what they were testing. There was no wait. The doctor was very professional and friendly; she understood right away when I explained some of my vision history (since I'd never been there before). Asked questions about how I spend my day - in order to make recommendations regarding the glasses (progressives or not, etc) and always explained why. The office was clean, everyone was friendly; and most of the paperwork could be done beforehand online so I didn't spend 15 minutes writing my name and insurance info multiple times! Very happy.“

“My wife got an exam and contacts from Dr. Ha, and I got an exam not long ago because of my aging eyes (presbyopia) and we had a pleasant experience. However, it was after I brought my 4 year old toddler to her recently that prompted me to review her outstanding rapport with young children. My kiddo does not like medical visits of any kind. I thought he was going to be okay going in at first because of all glasses on display that got him curious and interested. But once we sat him near an examination machine and Dr. Ha started asking me questions about him, he knew it was yet another medical examination and started to bawl. Once he starts crying, it's not easy to calm him down. Dr. Ha immediately gave him attention and asked if he wanted to play some games, with numbers and letters. Told him that he will see a balloon inside. Asked if he knows his colors and to tell her the color of the balloon. I'm stunned that she got him to sit still (we're talking 4 year old here) for about 20 minutes for various exams. Highly recommended! On the phone, she said as long as the child knows their alphabet, they are old enough to get an exam with her.“
